Camping Fun

Wayne and I have been wanting to get away by ourselves for some time now. We finally had the opportunity this last weekend. We had just bought a pop up trailer with the tax rebate we received. We took off Friday and went up on the rim past Strawberry. We were off all by ourselves and it was quiet and peaceful and we really enjoyed it. The last time we camped by ourselves without any kids was when I was pregnant with Jared 27 years ago.
We will be going up with the family next week for Memorial weekend.

I was laying in my hammock and I saw a bird fly onto a branch pretty far away. I zoomed in on it and I took this picture. I got my camera from Emily for Christmas. It is a nice one.

School concerts

We are officially finished with end of the year concerts!!! That might not be exciting to most people but it is to me.
Last night was Kelsey's choir concert. She is in the top choir At Smith Jr High. They performed several really cute numbers. They are actually fun to watch, with their dance steps and hand motions. This picture is of some of her friends in the group and a couple of friends that came to see them. I tried to get one of the whole choir but the lighting was bad. As you can see Kelsey loves to be the center of attention.


Skylar has his band concert tonight. I wasn't there but Wayne says it was really good. Skylar has been playing the Trumpet for three years now. He is getting very good. He wants to keep going and maybe will try for the Skyline Marching Band as a Sophomore. I ask Wayne to take pictures of the concert but for some reason he doesn't like to do it anymore. He use to take pictures all the time. I guess since I do so much of if now he has lost interest in it, but no one can take a picture like Wayne. I took these pictures when he got home.

We are starting to get Graduation announcements. So far Two from our Niece and Nephew Andrea and Tyler from collage. Way to go Stradlings!! One from our Nephew Cody Reed and one from a friend of ours' son Vance Skinner. It's so fun to see everyone growing up and doing so well.

Girls night out!!

This last weekend was the Fathers and Sons camp out. All Six of them went up on the rim. It was a very cold night, The temperature dropped below freezing. They took Wayne's brothers pop up trailer and slept nice and toasty warm in it. I ask for pictures but didn't get any:(

While they were gone The girls went out on the town. Emily, Kylee and I (Kelsey was on a trip to NAU for the day to a choir festival) went out to dinner with Jenny, Dani, and Daly (there boys were at Fathers and Sons also) to Olive Garden. As you can see we had lots of fun and good conversation.



After wards we went over to Best Buys to look around. I ended up sitting in front of a big screen TV and watching Pirates of the Caribbeans. Now i really want a big screen TV.
Later after Kelsey had gotten home we Watched 27 Dresses, which we all loved. We ate popcorn and treats. It was a great night. I love to spend time with my girls.
